It has come to the knowledge of the Management that some members of staff are farming within the University campus, especially area earmarked for landscaping (grassing and ornamental plants/trees) to ensure we have good serenity and healthy campus. Some of them even resist the lawn maintenance Vendors from carrying out their duties on their respective Lots. This action is illegal and affront on the University development programme. Such people are hereby warned to desist from such actions that are detrimental to the progress of the University and co-operate with the Management to have a University of our dream (.21st University, properly called).
However, the Management in its magnanimity is advising those interested in farming to register with the Director of Physical Planning and Development for portions of land at a safe area earmarked for farming activities on campus.
This University is ours, and we must co-operate with the Management to take it to a greater height to be envied by all.
Thank you for this understanding.
